Kolkata Police crest Duty Mitra

Terms of Use

Last updated 25 August 2026

1 Acceptance

By installing or using Duty Mitra, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2 Who can use Duty Mitra

Duty Mitra is intended solely for serving personnel of the Kolkata Police, or others formally authorised by the department. Access is granted through a mobile number already registered in the department's own personnel records — there is no public self-registration.

3 Your account

Signing in uses a one-time code sent to your registered phone number. You are responsible for keeping your device and phone number secure, and for promptly reporting a lost or stolen phone so that access can be revoked.

4 Acceptable use

  • Use Duty Mitra only for its intended purpose — viewing your duty assignments and recording your attendance.
  • Do not attempt to access another officer's duties or personal information.
  • Do not mark attendance on behalf of another officer, except where the app explicitly allows a supervisor to do so.
  • Do not use the app in any way that is unlawful or contrary to Kolkata Police regulations.

5 Accuracy of records

Attendance markings you make in Duty Mitra form part of the official duty record. Mark your duty status honestly and promptly.

6 Availability

We aim to keep Duty Mitra reliable, including offline support for recording duty when there is no network connection, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for delays or losses caused by network, device, or service interruptions outside our reasonable control.

7 Changes to the app or these terms

We may update Duty Mitra and these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

8 Ending access

Access to Duty Mitra may be withdrawn if your posting changes, you leave the department, or the department otherwise ends your authorisation to use it.

9 Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Kolkata / India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
