This page is for Duty Mitra, the Kolkata Police duty app developed by Mind Webs Ventures. Use the form below to ask us to delete your Duty Mitra account and the data the app holds about you.

In short: Submit the request form below with your registered mobile number or email address. Everything Duty Mitra holds about you — your account, your duty and attendance records in the app, and the location captured when you marked a duty — is deleted within 90 days of submitting this request, backups included. There is no additional retention period.

How to request deletion

Write why you want your data deleted, then tick the confirmation box and press Submit deletion request.

We verify it is you

We contact you on the number or address you gave, and confirm with your administrative office that your access can be withdrawn.

Your data is deleted

Your account is closed and your data erased within 90 days of the request. We confirm once it is done.

Why do you want your data deleted?

A short explanation helps us handle the request correctly — for example, you have retired, transferred out, or no longer use the app.

I understand that this closes my Duty Mitra account and permanently deletes the data listed below, that it cannot be undone, and that I will lose access to the app.

Prefer to write to us? You can request deletion by email instead. Send your registered mobile number and your reason to dutymitra@mindwebs.org. The same 90-day deletion timeline applies.

What happens to your data

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted within 90 days

Your account — your Duty Mitra sign-in and access to the app.
Your profile in the app — the copy of your name, mobile number, rank, service number and posting held by Duty Mitra.
Duty assignments — the duties shown to you in the app.
Attendance markings — every Start Duty, Mark Reached and Stand Down you recorded, with their times.
Location data — the location captured at the moment of each of those markings.
Technical data — device identifiers, app version and error logs linked to you.
Backup copies — purged within the same 90-day window.

Not held by Duty Mitra

Your Kolkata Police personnel record — your name, rank, service number and posting are maintained by the department in its own personnel system. Duty Mitra reads from it; it does not own it. Deleting your app data does not change that record — to correct or close it, speak to your administrative office.
The department's official duty records — records the Kolkata Police is required to keep as part of the official record of policing operations live in the department's own systems, outside Duty Mitra.
Anonymised counts — totals that carry no identifying detail and can no longer be linked back to you.

Retention period: none beyond the 90 days. Everything in the first list is deleted within 90 days of you submitting this request, including backups — we do not keep it for any longer period afterwards.
